Wee Barney. You will be sadly missed. I remember the first time I met you when I was visiting my grandparents in the summer as a young lad many years ago. I also got to know you now as an adult and you will always have a special place in many of our hearts for your energy, positivity and amazing outlook in life. Stopping to have the craic with you was always a highlight and a tutorial. You were a very special person to be around. Thank you for the light you brought to so many. Rest in Piece.

My.thoughts and prayers with Barney’s family and friends. He was a great man who looked out for our family when we first bought our house in Derryreel. I had a final poignant chat with him only a few weeks ago, I was aware of his illness but Barney was as Stoic as I would have expected. I will miss our detailed chats about world politics and life in general. Rest in Peace Barney. Love Sean, Deboragh, Cuann and Clodagh

Wee Barney, you will be sadly missed.

I met you at Frankie’s wedding — it was a grand occasion, and meeting you was one of the highlights of the day. Your warmth, humor, and spirit left a lasting impression.

From America, Big John and Peggy send our condolences and our thanks for the joy you brought to so many. You were truly one of a kind.

Rest in Peace.
