Regrettably the death has taken place of Vincent Sweeney of 76 Maghermore Road, Dungiven, Co Derry who passed away peacefully on 3rd of November 2026 at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Eileen, loving father of Geraldine (Rory) Caroline (Liam) Pauline (Sean) Vincent (Brenda) Elaine (Owen) and
devoted granda of Ruairi, Conor, Niall, Eoghan, Niamh, Tiarnan, Oisin, Cara, Emma, Cathair, great granda of Aodhan, Conall, Fionn, Clodagh and Erin.
Son of Vincent & Sarah Sweeney RIP (Ballymagorry) and dear brother of Mary, Pat, Anne, Declan, Brendan and the late Don and infant Gerard.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven, BT47 4NQ) within the following times:
Tuesday 3rd November 6pm -  9pm
Wednesday 4th November 4pm - 6pm with removal to his late home at 6pm.

Funeral on Friday 6th of November 2026, leaving his late home at 10:10am for 11am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church, Dungiven.
Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
