The peaceful death has taken place on Monday 31^st August 2026 at Letterkenny University Hospital of Seamus Drein, 24 Meadowbank Park, Long Lane, Letterkenny. Deeply missed by his loving daughters Carolyn (Noel) and Suzanne,  grandchildren Shaun, Laura, Mark, Packie, Christopher, Ryan and Emma, great-grandchildren Eimear, Mícheál, Lucia and Remi, brother Brian and wife Mena, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Seamus is pre-deceased by his wife Bridie (2023), sisters Mary and Jennie, and brothers Josie, Frank and Charlie.

Seamus will repose at his daughter Suzanne’s residence at Rahan, Crievesmith, Letterkenny F92 YKR4 on Tuesday 1^st September from 12 noon until after the Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Wednesday 2^nd September at 10.15am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.  Family time on the morning of the funeral please.
