The peaceful death has occurred of Peadar Hegarty, surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of the Sheil Community Hospital Ballyshannon.

Lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Delia, daughters Anne (Cathal Curran), Carmel (Joe Burke), Hilary (Oliver McGinley) and son Charlie (Anna). Treasured by his grandchildren Sarah, Shaun, Peadar, Danny, Saoirse, Adi and DanChiThuy.

Sadly missed by his sisters Mairead (Frank Laffey RIP), Christine (Joe Smith), brothers John (Ronnie RIP), Maurice (Peggy), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Peadar is predeceased by his sister Brigid (Johnny Quinn), brother James (Kay), and siblings Patrick Joseph and Mary Rose who died in infancy.

Removal from Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Ardara (F94 A250) on Thursday November 5th at 3pm, arriving at his late residence for 4pm.

Remains reposing at his late residence (F94 N671) on Thursday from 4pm to 9pm, and on Friday from 2pm to 9pm.

House private after Rosary each night, please.

Removal from his home on Saturday 7th of November to St. Cartha’s Church, Kilcar (F94 KA07) at 12:30pm for funeral Mass at 1pm, with burial afterwards in Towney Cemetery.

House private on the morning of the funeral, please.

There will be a shuttle bus in operation
from the Old Mill, Leitir (F94 CP7E) from 4pm Thursday and 3pm Friday until 10pm each day. A one way traffic system will be in operation with entry via the Town/Cottages.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Sheil Community Hospital, Ballyshannon, “Patient Comfort Fund”, care of any family member.
