It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Gallacher, peacefully at The Foyle Hospice on 12th May 2026.

Late of 72A Rossnagalliagh, Derry and formerly of 28 Marlborough Road, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Jackie. Devoted father of Bobby, John and Donna. Loving granda of Ryan, Brendan, Rebecka, Katie and Fiadh. A much loved great-granda of Finn. Precious son of the late Robert and Ann. Dearest brother of Ronnie, Gorritti and the late John, Billy, Roy and Con. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.

Nicholas’ remains will be reposing at his late home, 72A Rossnagalliagh on Thursday (May 14th) from 2 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday (May 16th) at 9:15 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.
