It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Deery, peacefully at Longfield Care Home on 18th October 2026.

Late of 15 Galliagh Park, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved father to all of his loving children. A much loved Granda to all of his grandchildren. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his sons and daughters-in-law, wider family circle and friends.

Michael’s remains will be reposing at his son William’s home, 100 Ederowen Park, Galliagh on Sunday (October 18th) from 5 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday (October 20th) at 10.25 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh at 11 a.m.  Burial will take place afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The Wake House will be private please from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.
