It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice Donnelly, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at the Foyle Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, on August 7th 2026.
Late of 14 Epworth Street, Rosemount, Derry and formerly of 46 Malin Gardens, Creggan, Derry. May he rest in peace.
Beloved husband of Margaret. Devoted father of Amanda, Karen and Laura. Dear father-in-law of Colm and Paul. A dearly-loved granda of Aoife, Ruaidhri, Tom, Kate and the late Emmet and great-granda of Arthur. Cherished son of the late Annie and Eddie Donnelly. Dearest brother of Roy, Angela and the late Joe, Brian and Eamon. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle, friends and neighbours.
Maurice’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 14 Epworth Street, tomorrow, Saturday (August 8th) from 12 noon. Funeral leaving from there on Monday (August 10th) at 9:25 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
The Wake House will be Private please from 11 p.m. until 10 a.m.
