It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Carlin, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, after a short illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family on June 21st, 2026.

Late of 2 Nicholson Terrace, Derry. May she rest in peace.

Beloved daughter of the late Henry and Rita Carlin. A loving sister of Anne (Michael), Tony (Margaret) and Henry (Theresa). Darling auntie of Marie Louise, Katrina and Henry Jr. A cherished great-auntie to Calum, Joshua and Albie. Devoted mammy to her fur baby Bruno.

In keeping with Maureen’s wishes, Maureen’s remains will be reposing at the McClafferty Funeral Home and Chapel of Rest on Monday (June 22nd) from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday (June 23rd) at 9:25 a.m. (via Academy Road and Pausing briefly at her home at Nicholson Terrace) for Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
