It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Deehan née Clarke, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on 15th July 2026.

Late of 45 Fern Park, Derry City and formerly of 5 Westland Avenue and Eastway Gardens. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of John. Devoted mother of Séan. Precious daughter of the late Molly and Gerry. Loving sister of John, Gerard, Sally, Vera, Pat, Olive, Liz, Assumpta and the late Joseph, Mary and Robert. A much loved sister-in-law and aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Margaret’s remains will be reposing at her sister Liz’s home, 10 Brookdale Crescent, Galliagh, Derry on Thursday (July 16th) from 6 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday (July 18th) at 9:15 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan at 10 a.m.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be private from 10:30 p.m. until 11 a.m.
