It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph (Joe) Bonner, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, surrounded by his loving family on 7th October 2026.

Late of 6 Jacqueline Way, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Agnes. Devoted father of Liam, Bernard, Joseph, Lynn and Martin. Dearest father-in-law of Eamonn, Máire, Cathy and Kate. Loving Granda of Jordan, Alison, Natalie, Chloe, Orláith, Reece, Eva, Ronan, Fionn, Carrie and the late Joey. A much loved Great-Granda to all of his precious great-grandchildren. Cherished son of the late William and Ellen(Nellie). Dearest brother of Seamus (Emma) and the late Jack, Mamie, Sadie, Bill and Ed. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Joe’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 6 Jacqueline Way on Thursday (October 8th) from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Friday (October 9th) at 10:50 a.m. for 11:30am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place afterwards in the City Cemetery.
