It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of John McCormack, peacefully at home on 13th April 2026.

Late of 16 Mount Vernon, Culmore, Derry.

May he rest in peace.

Tender beloved husband of Patricia. Devoted father of Vincent (Kate) and Fergal (Sarah). Delighted grandfather of Cillian. Loving brother of the late Marie, Vincent and John L. A dear cousin of Sr. Catherine. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends.

John’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 16 Mount Vernon, Culmore on Tuesday (April 14th) from 2 p.m.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday (April 16th) at 9:15 a.m. for Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown at 10 a.m.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.
