It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of John Doran, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 24th June 2026.

Late of 35 Violet Street, Chapel Road, Waterside, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Deirdre. Devoted father of Orla, Patrick and Finola. Loving and doting granda of Kieron. Precious son of the late Terence and Margaret. A much loved brother of Gerard, Terence, Kathleen, Mannix, Shiela, Gino, Charlie, Rory, Noleen, Christine and the late Mary-Lou, Dan and Theresa. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

John’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 35 Violet Street on Thursday (June 25th) from 6:30 p.m.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday (June 27th) at 9.25 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Road at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore.
