It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim (James) Moore, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on 19th August 2026.

Late of 14 Hatmore Park, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Evelyn. Devoted father of Gareth, Ashley, Kerry, Emmet and Heather. Dearest father-in-law of Patricia, Sean, Peter and Danny. Loving Granda Jim of Aimee, Colleen, Ella, Ryan, Sé, Zachary, Cameron, Dairinn and Taylor. A much loved brother to all of his brothers and sister. Dearest brother-in-law of Irene and Raymond McFeely. A dear companion of Stella and Roxy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Jim will be reposing at his late family home, 14 Hatmore Park from on Thursday (August 20th) from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Friday (August 21st) at 9:20 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral at 10 a.m.. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be strictly private today, Wednesday 19th August for family only.
