So sorry to hear of Hugh passing. We spent a lovely 9 months together in Ballyhaise Agricultureal school.may Hugh rest in peace
Very saddened to hear of Hughie’s death. We were good friends in Ballyhaise,Agricultural College. Later his brother Fr. Sammy was Parish Priest in Aughavas, my next parish but didn’t know at the time they were brothers. Took a photograph of a funeral their of a horse drawn hearse in which Sammy was blessing the coffin of man called Charlie McGirl.
Gave a copy to one of the parishioners but don’t know if it was ever passed on.
I remember Hughie was a soccer fanatic. Did he later join the Dept. Agriculture like myself.
May he niw rest in peace especially if his favourite county win the All-Ireland on Sunday.
My condolences to all his family.
Cathal Farrelly, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim.
