It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Lyttle (née Concannon), peacefully at Melmount Manor Care Home, Strabane on 18th May 2026.

Late of 21 Drumcliff Avenue, Derry and formerly of the Lecky Road, Brandywell, Derry. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late John. Devoted mother of Linda (Damian), John (Geraldine), Melissa (Barney), Claire (Barry) and the late Michelle. A much loved nanny to all of her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Precious nanny of the late Caragh. Dearest sister of Helen and all of her late brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Frances’ remains will be reposing at her late home, 21 Drumcliff Avenue on Monday (May 18th) from 5 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday (May 20th) at 9:25 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m..
