It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel (Vincent) O’Kane, peacefully at his home, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family on 13th September 2026.
Late of 32 The Forge, Giffnock, Glasgow and formerly of Culmore, Derry and ex Post Office.
Beloved husband of Patricia. Devoted father of Ruairí and Ashlinn. Dearest father-in-law of Alicia and Graham. Loving Papa and Granda of Caoilainn, Malin, Róise and Lúcás. Precious son of the late John Francis and Ethna. A much loved brother of Paul, Carole, Raymond, Joan, Nuala, Jarlath (Twin Sister), Noel and Deirdre. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, wider family circle and friends.
Vincent will be reposing at his son Ruairì and daughter-in-law Alicia’s home, 14 Ardmore Manor, Muff, F93 YE04 on Thursday (September 17th) from 6 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday (September 19th) at 10:30 a.m. for Requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Muff at 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in Derry City Cemetery.
Wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.
