My beautiful friend Claire, with the most infectious smile — the kind that could light up a room and instantly make everything feel a little brighter.

You were my very first Loreto school friend from Omagh! We sat beside each other in French class, and from that moment our friendship began to grow. I remember the simple, happy days of going to your house in Culmore Park and you coming up to mine in Carrickmore. Those innocent, carefree times are memories I will hold close to my heart forever.

As the years passed, we wove in and out of each other’s lives, but our friendship never faded. No matter how much time had gone by, we would always pick up exactly where we left off. Our girls’ nights out were so special — you never missed them — and we would spend hours laughing, talking, and catching up on each other’s lives as if we had seen each other only the day before.

Through everything, you showed such incredible strength. You never complained about your illness and you never allowed it to define who you were. Instead, you faced it with courage, grace, and a spirit that inspired everyone around you. You embraced life fully, cherishing every moment and reminding us all what a true blessing life is.

I will miss your smile, your laughter, and your beautiful presence in my life. But I know that from above you will continue to watch over your family and friends, guiding them and giving them the strength to live life the way you did — with love, courage, and joy.

Goodbye for now, my precious friend.
    Until we meet again.
