It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Brendan McClafferty, suddenly at his home on 20th April 2026.

Late of 92 Ravenhill Avenue, Belfast and formerly of 9A St. John’s Park, Pennyburn, Derry. May he rest in peace.

Beloved son of the late Billy and Christine. Loving brother of Paul, Declan, Deirdre and Ronan. A much loved brother-in-law and dearest uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.

Brendan’s remains will be reposing at his brother Declan’s home, 61 Whitehill, Muff, F93 E658 on Tuesday (21st April) from 7:30 p.m.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday (23rd April) at 9:15 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn at 10 a.m.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.
