It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette (Bernie) Grieve, peacefully at Oakleaves Care Centre on 11th March 2026.

Late of 14 Eastway Gardens, Creggan, Derry. May she rest in peace.

Beloved daughter of the late Celine and Gerald. Loving sister of Mary, Gerry, Dympna, Georgina, Colm and the late Dermot, Petrina and Donal. A much loved aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Precious friend of Liz. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Bernie’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 14 Eastway Gardens on Wednesday (March 11th) from 4 p.m.

Funeral leaving from there on Friday (March 13th) at 9:30 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan at 10 a.m.

Burial will take place afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m
