It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Murphy née McGuinness, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on 13th March 2026.

Late of 44 Knockalla Park, Galliagh, Derry. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late Charles. Devoted mother of Gerard, Siobhan, Charles, Kevin, Eamon, Jamie, Chloe and the late Damian. Loving granny to all of her much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Harry, Martina, Paul, Sharon, Michael and the late Gerard and Sean. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Ann’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 44 Knockalla Park on Saturday (14th March) from 11 a.m.

Funeral leaving from there on Monday (16th March) at 10:30 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be private from 9 p.m. until 11 a.m.
